What You Will Do in this 2 Hour Workshop:
Select a natural grape leaf to use for stamping. (There are actual grapevines at the studio.)
Practice watercolor swatching, mixing and painting techniques and learn simple mark making styles for multimedia.
Apply the techniques you just practiced to create your own unique art.
Finish your project by framing it in a black 8X8 frame. This is a great size for a mantle or tabletop.
Who This is For:
No “art talent” is required—just show up ready to unwind, sip, laugh, and learn. By the end, leave with finished projects you’ll be proud of and memories made together. Appropriate for ages 12 and up.
What You Get:
Professional quality paints and supplies, apron to protect your clothing, and light refreshments are all included. You will receive project instruction and personal guidance in a small group setting. Take home your framed artwork.
I am unable to offer wine or beer, but you are welcome to bring your own. I will provide glasses and bottle opener.
Where You Will Meet:
Our family farmhouse, called the “Grape Escape” bed and breakfast, located on M-22, a few miles north of Suttons Bay. Park in front of the house and walk to the garden patio behind the house. Dress to be outdoors unless the weather is inclement. If so, we’ll meet in the studio just inside the house.
