What You Will Do:
In this 2 hour workshop, you’ll meet others in your small group. Grab a cold drink. Put on your apron and check out the menu of Leelanau-themed projects you can choose from.
Practice watercolor mixing and painting techniques and learn simple mark making styles for multimedia.
Choose two images to paint for your project. Each has a pre-stamped outline on watercolor paper for relaxed and easy painting inspiration. No drawing or painting skills are required.
Apply the techniques you just practiced to create your own unique art.
“Show and tell” your final projects with others. Frame each in either a wall magnet or paper mat.
Who This is For:
No “art talent” is required—just show up ready to unwind, sip, laugh, and learn. By the end, leave with finished projects you’ll be proud of and memories made together. Appropriate for ages 12 and up.
What You Get:
Professional quality paints and supplies, apron to protect your clothing, all included. Project instruction and guidance in a small group setting. Two framed artworks.
Refreshments. I am unable to offer wine or beer, but you are welcome to bring your own. I will provide glasses and a bottle opener.
Where You Will Meet:
Our family farmhouse, called the “Grape Escape” bed and breakfast, is located on M-22, a few miles north of Suttons Bay. Park in front of the house and walk to the garden patio behind the house. Dress to be outdoors unless the weather is inclement. If so, we’ll meet in the studio area just inside the house.
